Nag Champa is a hand-rolled blend of flowers, spices, and resins, and each stick burns for about 45 minutes. The natural ingredients, herbs, resins, and masala are blended to perfection to create a soothing aroma. Everyone should have this fabulous incense as an essential item. The original blue pack Nag Champa is a a perfume originally manufactured in Hindu and Buddist monasteries of India and Nepal. It is traditionally made from a Sandalwood base, to which are added a variety of flower oils - including that from the flower of the Champac tree. It is a unique floral fragrance with musky overtones.

Each monastery has its own secret formula which is revealed to no-one outside the order! The sacred tree belongs to the magnolia family and grows to about 30 meters in height. Its flower is yellow and star shaped, and as well as being the source of perfume, also gives a yellow die. Frequently planted in temple grounds, the wood is used for making sacred images, drums, etc.
